Abstract:
Abstract Unemployment is a huge problem in our society; it affects individuals’ financial situation and it contributes to conditions of malaise and unease. It could be considered as a real disease for some people. Indeed, looking for a job is turning out to be harder and harder; furthermore, employment agencies are often helpless in assisting citizens to find a solution. In the past everybody seemed to know what was necessary to get a job. This might not have always guaranteed a particular career, but people who had a job were much more numerous than nowadays. Flexibility and market regulation has influenced the extent and character of labor fragmentation, which is creating new challenges for social and labor policy.
