Abstract:
Abstract Jesús López Cobos, renowned Spanish conductor, received his degree in Musical Composition in Spain in 1966. He then continued his musical studies in the United States with the help of a grant from Banco Urquijo, a Spanish bank. He made his acclaimed debut as a conductor at La Fenice in Venice in 1969 and since then has conducted some of the world’s greatest orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, and New York Philharmonic. He has conducted opera productions at La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, and Covent Garden in London, among others.
