Abstract The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (SRGM) in New York, built by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation (SRGF) over a period of 16 years to house its twentieth-century art collection, opened in 1959. It soon became one of New York’s most popular cultural venues, attracting tourists and locals alike.
