‘R.S.V.P.’: A Methodology to Ensure the Success of Organisational Transformation Projects
Stephan Franz Gellrich
Chapter 54 in Handbook of Top Management Teams, 2010, pp 469-476 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Most company change management projects focus on the definition or modification of actual working processes. During these changes, the impact of such changes on the people, who hold the key to the successful implementation of such projects, is often overlooked. The underestimation of the importance of rituals, symbols, values and transformation pillars to such people plays a significant role in the supposed cause of the partial or total failure of such projects. This article aims, therefore, to supply senior management with a methodology that will enable them to improve the success of the change management projects that they undertake.
