Olivier Saulpic
Chapter 62 in Handbook of Top Management Teams, 2010, pp 531-539 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Senior management needs to update operational planning and budgeting processes to confront the challenges presented by the increasingly uncertain climate of business today Some management consultants recommend abandoning the budget altogether. To help management teams understand how these new proposals can affect their organisation and how to adapt their strategic planning accordingly this article provides an analysis grid permitting a systematic analysis of both the planning process and the business issues it tries to solve, as well as ideas on how to revamp the planning process.
