Chapter 9 in The ‘Green Revolution’ and Economic Development, 1991, pp 180-202 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the survey discussed in the previous chapter, Bangladeshi farmers claimed that their income had become more uncertain and risky since the Green Revolution. While there may be a number of reasons for this, one possible factor could be that the yield and production of foodgrains have become more variable. This possibility will be investigated in this chapter using time series data.
