The three elements of sound

Daniel M. Jackson and Paul Fulberg

Chapter Chapter 6 in Sonic Branding, 2003, pp 38-46 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract If we were to treat every sound in the world separately then this book would be a little on the large side. There are millions of sounds out there that human beings can perceive and differentiate between. It is more useful for this book to put different types of sounds into categories so that we can make some general points that relate directly to our subject.
