The great destroyers of trust

Chapter 4 in Trust Matters, 2004, pp 43-60 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It would be too simplistic to say that one of the major enemies of trust is lying. Trust is not necessarily destroyed if the intent not to harm accompanies a lie. In this chapter we explore this in more depth and we look at other ways in which trust can be destroyed. We examine the enemies of societal, organisational and personal trust.
