Abstract: Abstract Learning on the basis of the full Kolb model is quite possible. It can take place, for example, in the form of the EQCS model. This instrument is very useful if you have to ‘improvise’ something on a given subject in a training course or conference, for example at the participants’ request. If you, as the facilitator, are well-versed in the subject matter you can use this instrument to design, within the space of ten minutes, a morning or afternoon during which the subject can be discussed thoroughly from every angle. The abbreviation EQCS makes the method easier to remember. This is useful because the method is applicable primarily to unforeseen circumstances. The EQCS model is set out in Figure 20.1.
