Abstract: Abstract The Harry Potter series had far-reaching effects on the retail world. This chapter will focus on those effects for both brick-and-mortar and virtual book retailers. Effects related to merchandising and related products and brand extensions, such as audio books, DVDs, soundtracks, video games, toys, games and clothing, will be discussed in detail in Chapter 8.
