The Role of Emotions in Coaching
Randy Chittum
Chapter Chapter 10 in On Becoming a Leadership Coach, 2008, pp 75-80 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It is accepted practice for leadership coaches to coach in the domains of mind (language), body (somatic), and emotion. Conventional wisdom suggests that mind, body, and emotions are all connected and the coach can “enter” the conversation in any of the three domains and all three may shift. This chapter focuses explicitly on the role of emotions in coaching.
