Methods of Public Consultation

Chapter 13 in Managing Green Issues, 2007, pp 144-162 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Obviously, the type of consultation will be determined by the type of project. Consultation should be ongoing for the length of the project, but there will often be one event, such as an exhibition, where the public will be actively encouraged to get involved. However, one must avoid the trap of thinking: “Well, we have done the consultation and now it’s finished.” Consultation in other forms, even if only through informal contact with key stakeholders as outlined in Part 3 must still continue.
