The Environmental Movement — Corporations for a New Millennium

Tom Curtin

Chapter 4 in Managing Green Issues, 2007, pp 29-33 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Today, the environmental movement is a huge industry with turnover measured in billions of dollars. Although its proponents try to portray themselves as altruistic amateurs, nothing could be further from the truth. These are finely honed, well-financed and highly efficient publicity machines. Just ask Shell, Exxon or Monsanto.
