Abstract:
Abstract Boards are at the helm of the company, making important decisions. According to Meurisse (2011) the board of directors is the most powerful group, having the power not only to internally guide and influence all other organisational actors, but also to externally commit and legally bind the organisation as a whole and in its interaction with other societal actors. This power has been delegated to him by his superior, the shareholder. The board itself, as superior, further delegates to top management, his subordinates.
