Über Luxury: For Billionaires Only
Alessandro Quintavalle
Chapter 4 in Global Luxury Trends, 2013, pp 51-76 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the last quarter century the luxury industry has enjoyed incredible growth, increasing in size a good ten times during this very limited timeframe. On the one hand, an increasing population of wealthy people was a favorable condition for this expansion. On the other, the savvy introduction of new business models and brand-management techniques made it possible to broaden significantly the client base and appeal to it by offering a wide spectrumof new products and modes of consumption.
