Chapter 8 in Making the Compelling Business Case, 2013, pp 348-361 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract No matter how exhaustive the cost calculation, how compelling the benefit computation, how careful the risk analysis, and how forward thinking the flexibility options, the go ahead for the investment decision does not only depend on how the business case is justified, it largely depends on how it is presented to the decision makers. Someone needs to tell the story, maximize the likelihood of the message being listened to, and most importantly get the story across.
