Chapter Chapter 4 in Customer Sense, 2013, pp 77-102 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Imagine an ancient Egyptian temple as it would have looked three thousand years ago when it was frequented by priests and worshippers. What would strike you the most? What comes to mind? Some people would describe pictures of primitively drawn men and women; other people would picture a vast complex carved from granite and obsidian; yet others would focus on ceremonial objects like boats or figurines. The artwork would be beautiful, but focusing solely on the visual components of the experience of visiting an Egyptian temple would be leaving out a great part of the sensory experience.
