Commitment 14: Nurture Your Talent

Yasushi Kusume and Neil Gridley

Chapter 14 in Brand Romance, 2013, pp 181-188 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In his book Open Innovation, Henry Chesbrough promoted a new model for innovation, one that called for sharing and trading resources, IP and know-how in a bid to innovate together. We would now like to suggest applying these ideas to the issue of cultivating talent in people by proposing an “open talent management”. This would entail cultivating young talent by sharing responsibilities, introducing cumulative or mass talent management and exchanging talent throughout the design community.
