Organizational Considerations: People and Software
Richard Boire
Chapter Chapter 21 in Data Mining for Managers, 2014, pp 165-180 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The world today is experiencing tremendous change in virtually every facet of society: political tructures as evidenced by the fall of communism and dictatorships, sports with their new collective bargaining agreements, businesses with their obsessions to become flatter and leaner all with the intention of reducing head count, and technology in its all-encompassing goal of making us more effective with our use of information. However, nowhere is this more clearly demonstrated than in technology and data mining, both of which embrace the use of the best and most relevant technologies to solve a business problem.
