Abstract: Abstract The semiconductor manufacturers affect television set makers in two ways: as the traditional suppliers of television components (a tradition lasting, in the case of Mullard, back into the valve era); and as suppliers of new components for viewdata, teletext, remote control and other new set enhancements.
