The Structuring of Youth Pay and Employment in Six European Economies

Chapter 3 in The Problem of Youth, 1991, pp 82-112 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The preceding chapter has argued that youth employment and training constitutes a sensitive issue within national systems of industrial relations. Countries differ greatly in the way in which such youth activities are structured. Young workers are employed in a much wider range of workplaces in the Netherlands, and trained in a much wider range in Germany, than is the case in Italy, for example.
