Setting up your Consultancy

B. H. Elvy

Chapter 2 in How to Become a Consultant, 1993, pp 11-28 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract There will be much to be done once you decide to set up a consultancy practice. The first step must be to clarify in your own mind the precise nature of your speciality. What you intend to sell in the marketplace is your expertise, a combination of knowledge and experience gained in your own particular field coupled with analytical and diagnostic skills and the ability to work with and influence other people.
