Chapter 13 in Communicating Out of a Crisis, 1998, pp 143-159 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Just as a corporate crisis is about people’s perceptions rather than reality, so the individual stress resulting from a situation very much depends on how an individual perceives it. ‘One man’s meat is another man’s poison.’ When attempting to prepare companies for a crisis we need to ensure that the managers involved see the crisis as ‘meat’, turning it into an opportunity.
