Chapter 8 in Managing Manufacturing Operations: A Casebook, 1978, pp 101-118 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Speedcraft Transport is a small company of less than 150 personnel engaged in the manufacture and development of fast sea-based transport exploiting the hovercraft principle. The original idea of hovercraft — floating a vehicle on a cushion of air just above the land or water surface — was formulated by Christopher Cockerell in the early 1960s.
