Chapter 2 in The Theory and Practice of Systematic Personnel Selection, 1993, pp 14-34 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The first stage of filling any vacancy can be completed long before the vacancy arises; it consists of analysing the job. However, the process of analysing a job is not solely concerned with selection. Accurate job analysis is an important part of the general management process and it can be used in many ways.
