Abstract: Abstract To realise the design characteristics and targets, the relevant core competency and core technology must be identified and developed. Without appropriate core competency and core technology in place, quite literally all inventions have little to no chance of effective commercialisation. Core competency must reach some level of maturation, and core technology must be significantly developed, before transfer to an invention. It is an impetuous move to transfer unproved technology into the market, as underdeveloped technology always bites back, and in the extreme leads to wholesale market failure.
