René Haak
Chapter 8 in Japan and China, 2002, pp 158-173 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The People’s Republic of China has gained increasing importance as a market and production base for the internationally active Japanese industry. At the same time, Japanese companies represent one of the most important supports of China’s economic and technological development. A look at the strategic management of internationally active Japanese manufacturers shows that investments currently being made in China are shaped by the current trends of globalization and intensified international competition.
