Abstract:
Abstract After the cooperation agreement was passed by the shareholders’ meetings in May 1993, the augurs announced that henceforth the gradual implementation of the agreed cooperation was to be started at all levels wherever points of contact between the partner banks presented themselves. Commissions with an equal membership from both banks set about their work, meeting alternately in Paris and Frankfurt. Dialogue developed, for the most part by coincidence, at various functional levels. People who, just a short time before, had been somewhat incredulous to learn of the existence of their counterparts offered each other their products as if to say: ‘If you haven’t got this or that yet, just help yourself!’ What an opportunity for mutual enrichment.
