Management tips

Adrian Furnham

A chapter in Management and Myths, 2004, pp 99-101 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Tipping is not a trivial business. It is estimated that over 90 per cent of restaurant diners tip their waiter/ress around the tune of 10 per cent of the bill. If you include part-timers there may be as many as a million people employed in the serving business. Often a substantial portion of their income is based on tips. So it pays to learn how to maximise the tips.
