Psychologists in business

Adrian Furnham

A chapter in Management and Myths, 2004, pp 118-119 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Few people in business either have, or will admit to having met a psychologist, lest others imagine they are in, or need, therapy. That is, unless the psychologist happens to be an executive coach, which is somehow OK. Most people are unable to distinguish between a psychologist, psychoanalyst, psychiatrist and a psychiatric social worker.
