Cash rich, time poor
Adrian Furnham
A chapter in Management and Myths, 2004, pp 36-37 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Your boss calls you in and makes you an offer. For reasons too problematic to explain you have the following option: a week’s extra leave (5 working days) or £2000 cash (brown envelope, no questions asked!). You choose the week so he increases the money. How about £2,500? So if you take the money, he increases the time: 8 days.
