Chapter Chapter 11 in Demographic Transition, Labour Markets and Regional Resilience, 2017, pp 265-314 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Demographic change is rising up the policy agenda of all countries, especially in those who are in OECD, where population shifts and rapid ageing require urgent adjustment of labour markets towards sustainability and resilience. This chapter firstly looks at the potential of demographic dashboards and age-management indexes as instruments for decision-making and strategic prioritisation of actions. It then reflects on the lessons learned from this book and offers some guidelines to manage demographic change in cities and regions.
