Abstract: Abstract Global warming will be a significant common issue facing society in the 21st century. At the Third Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP3) held in Kyoto, it was agreed by 161 participating nations to do their best in the period from 2008 to 2012 to curtail global warming gases as per the Kyoto Protocol to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The Kyoto Protocol came into force on 16 February 2005.
