Abstract:
Abstract The emerging divergencies in the adoption rates of new technologies - or in the diffusion speed of innovations in general - among firms, regions and countries have stimulated a great number of both theoretical and empirical studies (see e.g., Bertuglia et al. 1995; Mansfield 1968; Nijkamp and Reggiani 1995; Stoneman 1983). In the present study, we focus on entrepreneurial adoption behaviour regarding new technology and examine in particular the determinants of firms’ adoption of a new communication technology.
