Chapter 16 in Network Infrastructure and the Urban Environment, 1998, pp 288-307 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Integrated land use and transport models have been a matter of interest for a long time. It is almost universally accepted that the interaction between activities is the driving force behind transport demand, and in turn, accessibilities shape land uses and prices. In spite of this, such integrated models have developed slowly, and transport policies are, by and large, still evaluated in their own terms.
