Chapter 7 in National Transport Models, 2002, pp 81-92 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract Since 1986 extensive use has been made of the Dutch National Model System of Traffic and Transport, abbreviated NMS, in policy evaluation. Although the NMS certainly is not the only available model in the Netherlands it is the most influential model for use in evaluating policy options and preparing policy documents at the national level.
