Chapter Chapter 7 in Early Internationalizing Firms, 2024, pp 169-199 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The theme of drivers of performance has always represented a fundamental node in the literature on early internationalization. During the second decade of research, studies suggested that early internationalization leads to superior performance while inviting scholars to investigate postentry outcomes and dynamics. Given the above, it is no surprise that studies on the determinants of performance, survival, and post-entry growth have increased over the last decade. This chapter deepens the origins and evolutions of these three main topics and provides recommendations for future studies.
