Abstract This chapter presents the objectives, methodology, and data sources of a study conducted on a sample of Italian domestically listed family firms. This chapter provides a comparative analysis of the corporate governance characteristics and sustainability practices of these firms, highlighting best practices and lessons learned from the empirical data. This analysis offers interesting insights into the ways in which Italian listed family firms integrate sustainability into their operations and the factors contributing to their success.
