Abstract Some of the most common potential implementation problems of the MUSA method, which may affect the reliability of the provided results, include the following In several cases with unstable results, it appears that $$y^{*m} = y^{*m+1} \, {\rm or}\, x_{i}^{*k} = x^{*k+1}_{i}$$ (Jacquet-Lagrèze and Siskos, 1982). Cases where b i = 0 for some criteria X i should be avoided.
