Abstract This chapter discusses in considerable detail many fundamental concepts and features of decision problems, and the complexities of real-world decision-making. Our context is Multiple Criteria Decision Making, where we abstract away from uncertainty. We make the distinction between Evaluation Problems and Design Problems.
