Abstract: Abstract Current trends in the industrial companies are focusing on the further development of cyber-physical systems and the possible integration of human and machine intelligence to achieve robust and sustainable solutions. Cost is an additional important factor which have to be considered as well. This paper first surveys possibilities and problems in teleoperation. Using these results a framework will be proposed for the sustainable use of teleoperated systems in industrial environment. Finally a practical example is described in details which presents demonstrational partly autonomous teleoperated industrial transport vehicle.
