Abstract:
Abstract Fixed assets—items like land and buildings, motor vehicles, furniture, office equipment, computers, fixtures and fittings, and machinery and industrial robots—require maintenance. The more fixed assets a company has, the more maintenance is necessary. In addition, while fixed assets are depreciated over time, maintenance increases with age. With automation, smart manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing on the rise, maintenance is on the rise too, becoming an increasingly critical task. Keeping fixed assets operational requires two different types of maintenance:
