Chapter Chapter 8 in Improving Forecasts with Integrated Business Planning, 2019, pp 387-421 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we focus on the forecast measurements, focusing on analyzing the value add that specific methods may generate or not. We explain the forecast value-add analysis (FVA) and its requirements for process and technical design in SAP IBP. We describe the way forward for demand-planning process improvement with the use of the proven Six Sigma methodology. We bring real Six Sigma use cases to explain and extract the value of using data and statistical analysis in a continuous process improvement optic.
