A chapter in Global Diversity Management, 2019, pp 87-92 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract Patti shares narratives based on reflections on her personal and career life-course journey of diversity from two cultural standpoints. These experiences had a significant impact on her understanding of people differences and how these can be harnessed so that others can benefit. She offers a critical review of her early learning, born of her Nigerian upbringing, that helped to shape her beliefs. She compares this experience with the reality of finding herself in a culture different from her own, due to the horrors of the Biafran War, before her journey to Britain.
