Abstract: Abstract In this chapter we discuss the basics and drivers of Artificial Intelligence. The key drivers are Moore’s Law, digitalization and dematerialization of products, services and processes, the connection of these within global network, big data and new technologies. We also analyse the investments in Artificial Intelligence.
