Chapter 1 in Enterprise Governance of Information Technology, 2020, pp 1-13 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The main title of this book refers to the concept of “Enterprise Governance of IT,” a concept that addresses the definition and implementation of processes, structures, and relational mechanisms that enable both business and IT stakeholders to execute their responsibilities in support of business/IT alignment and the creation and protection of IT business value. The subtitle of this book refers to these two other important concepts, namely “business/IT alignment” and “IT business value.” In this introductory chapter, these three core concepts are defined and the relationship between them is introduced. Each of these concepts will then be discussed more in-depth in the subsequent chapters.
