Abstract: Abstract There are many approaches to define the essence of corporate governance. For us, the most comprehensive and plausible description is given by the French philosopher Michael Foucault: Governance as leading the leadership of the organization. Each president, CEO, top management team needs to report to someone or an institution and needs to be monitored and evaluated. This is what governance is designed for.
