Chapter 8 in Variable Takt Principle, 2022, pp 207-239 from Springer

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, we would like to present further concepts for mastering variance in assemblies. In addition to a comparison with VarioTakt, we can show that all concepts can be combined with variable takt and thus their range of action can be extended even further. In the main focus, we will use variable takt in AD for MMA and thus in the phase of balancing the assembly line. At the end of this section, we will outline an additional idea of how variable takt could also be used in SD for MMA, i.e., in workload-oriented series-sequencing.
