Abstract:
Abstract The previous chapters described what is simultaneously an IT management problem and a business problem and introduced the BTRM as a means of considering an alternative management philosophy that provides an opportunity for us to improve management practice by changing the way we work. This chapter describes the basic functionality of Active Management and Governance, a conceptual solution for the management of business technology based upon the BTRM and the developmental thinking that inspired. It assumes it is used by all stakeholders across the extended enterprise so allowing us all to change the way we work.
