Chapter 7 in Supply Chain Risk Management, 2022, pp 129-159 from Springer
Abstract:
Abstract The history of supply management is shown in the Fig. 7.x. Supply management originated as a function, which was responsible for securing deliveries in supply management 1.0. Over the years, the supply management function has developed in most of the companies as primary and leading function, which utilizes digital tools to manage global supplier networks. Supply Management 4.0 focuses in this context on providing value-adding activities and processes throughout the value chain.
